This is CB’s third year coaching the scullers at Community Rowing, with many rowers participating and medaling at area regattas. She has been an Assistant coach for the Union Boat Club competitive boys summer sculling camp in Boston and a coach at the Craftsbury Rowing Center in Vermont. CB is a certified personal trainer and coaches winter training in Concord. She is the Regatta co-chair of the Mayor’s Cup, a fundraising regatta for AccesSportAmerica, a non-profit organization dedicated to the fitness and function of children and adults with disabilities.
CB started rowing at Smith College after being a competitive swimmer. Her senior year she stroked a boat that won at Eastern Sprints. She is an 8 time National Team member winning 2 gold medals at the World Championships in the lightweight double sculls (86′/89′) and 2 bronzes (’84/’87). CB was inducted into the National Rowing Foundation Hall of Fame in 1997.
CB likes to mix it up playing hockey in the off-season with the South Shore Women’s Hockey League. This past winter one of her rowers convinced her she could still swim and she raced the mile at New England Masters Championships. She was 3rd in the Sr. Masters single at the Head of the Charles in 2008. She is married to Tom Bohrer, and they have three children Sally, Sabrina and Si.
