
Head Coach for the Comp Boys and Comp Men
Coach Vukovic took the helm of CRI Jr. Men’s program in the summer of 2008.
At 2009 Youth National Championships CRI Jr. Men’s Hwy 4+ and Lwt 8+ captured the boys team’s first National Championships medals in club’s 20 plus year long history placing second and third, respectively.
A 2001 bronze medalist from U23 World Championships and a long time member of Serbian Junior National Team, Vukovic rowed for Northeastern University, class of ’04, and graduated with BA in Psychology. While at NU, Vukovic was a part of NU varsity eight that placed 4th at 2002 and 2004 Eastern Sprints (EARC) and fifth at 2003 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta. As a stroke of NU’s varsity eight, Vukovic lead the boat to a third place finish in Championship Men’s Eight event at 2002 Head of the Charles (HOCR) Regatta.
Coach Vukovic holds a Masters Degree in Human Development and Leadership from Murray State University where he served as Women’s Freshmen Coach ‘04 -’06. During his time with the ‘Racers’, Vukovic coached his crews to a second place finish at 2006 Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Regatta, second at 2006 Midwest Championships Regatta, gold at 2006 John Hunter Regatta and a first and a third place finish at 2005 Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta.
Besides coaching the Jr. Men’s team at CRI over the past year, coach Vukovic has also served as the Assistant Director of Programs and Operations and the Junior Team Coordinator at Community Rowing.
Fully dedicating his focus to coaching, Coach Vukovic currently serves as the Head Coach for both Jr. Men’s and Competitive Adult Men’s programs, while remaining available for private sculling lessons.
