Dear CRI Community,

I want to take a moment to write to you about the best part of CRI - sharing our sport with others. We are unbelievably lucky to have such a wonderful boathouse filled with reliable, wonderful new Hudsons - but I want to say without exaggeration that in my experience, the people who enjoy rowing the most are the people who find ways to share it with others.

Volunteering at the Harry Parker Boathouse is a special ticket to the kind of satisfaction and happiness that is usually reserved for the very young or the very lucky.  Getting together to help others get on the water - whether it is with a para rowing program or a team building event or by working at the boathouse on a special project - has a profound positive impact on other people and it brings new happiness into the world that simply wouldn't exist otherwise. Knowing that you've shared health and community and human connection with others transforms any day of the week into a Red Letter Day.

I hope that everyone who rows at CRI will find an opportunity to take the next step and share our sport with others- volunteer energy and enthusiasm are what make our special community thrive. Please see the currently available opportunities to share your love for rowing at CRI below:

Thank you to everyone who shares their time and energy at the HPB. See you on the water!

Bruce
