Sweep and learn to row programs are taught in 4-person and 8-person boats, and CRI's 12-person Training Barge. Each rower has one oar, and oars alternate on opposite sides of the boat, which is steered by a coxswain. Coxswain training is included in all sweep programs, and rowers take turns coxing throughout the season.
