Sculling programs at CRI are taught in 1-person boats called Single Sculls. Each rower uses 2 oars.
Sweep
Rowing
Sweep programs are taught in 4-person and 8-person boats, and CRI's 12-person
Training Barge. Each rower has one oar, on alternating opposite sides
of the boat. Sweep boats at CRI are steered by a coxswain. Rowers will
take turns coxing sweep boats, and coxswain training will be included
in sweep programs.
