Lily Carbeck

Community Engagement Manager

Lily is in her first year as the Community Engagement Manager, she is also in her seventh season as a competitive youth coach at CRI. First coaching the U17 boys and most recently coaching the U19 boys. Lily is also in her third year as an assistant coach with the Tufts women's rowing team.

Prior to CRI, she was an assistant coach at the University of Massachusetts for the women’s rowing team. During that time she primarily coached the third varsity eight, working to build the depth of the team.

Carbeck first started coaching at Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club (PVRC), a non-profit club in Springfield, Mass. At PVRC she was the varsity boys' head coach and assistant for the master's. After PVRC she moved to Boston to coach the competitive boys at Community Rowing Inc. She has continued to work with the boys' program for the past two summers, attending both Club Nationals and Canadian Henley.

Lily learned to row at CRI in 2007 before the boathouse was built. Raised in Belmont, MA, Carbeck graduated from Belmont High School and then from the UMass where she designed her own major to be Youth Development and Coaching.
