Let's Row - Middle School Indoor Rowing Program (MSIRP)

By bringing rowing machines directly into public schools, Let's Row Middle School Indoor Rowing Program (MSIRP) introduces the sport of rowing to students from all walks of life.

MSIRP runs programming in PE classes and after school programs in 40 Boston Public Schools, and uses a curriculum based on BPS Physical Education standards that has been carefully designed to be educational and engaging by incorporating games, competition, and peer support in each lesson plan.

Each school in Let's Row MSIRP is invited to participate in YETI (Youth Erg Trials International), the championship indoor rowing competition for the Greater Boston area. The event, hosted at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, gives students access to the largest youth indoor regatta in the country. The success of the event led to the creation of the Middle School Indoor Rowing League.
